YOGA

YOGA LEVEL ONE-The beginner to intermediate yoga is a gentle practice, which introduces one to the experiences that yoga has to offer, including flexibility, strength, endurance, and coordination of the breath in a traditional yoga manner.  Basic postures, proper body alignment, and the benefits of the postures will be taught. This practice is moderately paced.  The format will introduce many basic postures, including forward bends, beginning back bends, twists, and simple inversions.  Pranayama(breath work) will be introduced in the tradition of yoga.  All postures will be taught with modifications. (Intermediate-Advanced)

YOGA FLOW-This dynamic class will challenge and restore your body and mind.  Through a series of fluid movements, you will increase strength, suppleness, and min/body awareness.(All levels)

YOGA FOR WEIGHT LOSS-Burn calories, build lean muscles mass and explore the power of mind/body balance to enhance your weight loss program.  This class is designed for all body types and will leave you feeling light and relaxed.(All levels—beginners welcomed)-->

 

PILATES

PILATES MAT-Learn correct breathing, core stabilization, flexibility, strength, and posture through a series of exercises performed with no accoutrements.  It is the foundation for over 500 exercises performed on and off the Pilates equipment.  Its focus is working from the powerhouse with fluidity and control.  All one needs is a mat and space enough to lie down and stretch out comfortable.  This makes it quite economical and great for those who travel.

(Level one—Beginner to Intermediate    Level two-Intermediate to Advanced)

PILATES Mat Level Two-We’ve up-ed the ante on mat based pilates.  The same fluid movement is performed with a slightly faster pace. (Intermediate to advanced)

PILATES REFORMER- Based on the Pilates reformer, you will work on a spring-based piece of equipment with a footbar, straps, box, and carriage that moves.  The class also is working from the powerhouse while gaining flexibility, strength, and control  CLASSES ARE RUN IN 6 WEEK SESSIONS*****prerequisite of 3 private Pilates sessions or 3 mat classes.(Intermediate-Advanced)

½ mat ½ ballecore---classic mat combined with the lengthening and strengthening of ballet.

1/2MAT AND ½ REFORMER-1/2 hour Pilates mat ending with ½ hour reformer-****prerequisite of 3 private Pilates sessions or 3 mat classes (Intermediate-Advanced)
